SAME SEX MARRIAGE... THIS INTERESTING PRAYER WAS GIVEN IN KANSAS, USA, AT THE OPENING SESSION OF THEIR SENATE.

It seems prayer still upsets some people.
When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usual generalities,
but this is what they heard:
"Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says: "Woe to those who call evil good", but that is exactly what we have done.
* We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
* We have ridiculed the absolute truth of Your Word and called it Pluralism.
* We have worshipped other gods and called it multiculturalism.
* We have endorsed perversion and called it alternative lifestyle.
* We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
* We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.
* We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
* We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
* We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self-esteem.
* We have abused power and called it politics.
* We have embezzled public funds and called it essential expenses.
* We have insitutionalised bribery and called it sweets of office.
* We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
*We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
* We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh GOD, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!"
The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest.
In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Rev. Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls
responding negatively. 
The church is now receiving international requests for copies of
this prayer from India, Africa and Korea.
With the LORD'S help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and WHOLEHEARTEDLY become our desire so that we again can be
called "ONE NATION UNDER GOD."

HOW TO INTERPRET THE SCRIPTURES (PART 1)

TODAY:
PUBLIC
There are two extremes when it comes to who should interprete Scriptures and how one should go about it. The first set say anyone and everyone can easily do that without any human agent. They say that the scriptures indeed say “we have an unction and we know all things and need no man to teach us quoting 1 John 2:20,27. They therefore teach that you need no human being to help in understanding the Bible.
The other set say that they are not capable and feel they will only be on a journey of self destruction if they attempt to study the Scriptures themselves and so have placed into the hands of the chosen few that responsibility. These quote 2 Pet 3:15,16 to buttress their point. They are content to have the pulpit do the work of searching the Scriptures, they do not believe that work is for them, thus allowing dogmas and even superstitions to be imposed on them. They are far from the noble christians that were at Barea Acts 17:11.
The history of the Church has been tied up in this debacle to some it has now become a debate between 1 John 2:20,27 versus Acts 8:26-37. If you get the right balance and apply yourself to the practice of it, you will grow in leaps and by bounds. The funny thing I have noticed about the first set who say you need no man to teach you is this, they have set up ministries to teach people that they need no man to teach them. Blinded by their sheer hypocrisy.
There is a strong Scriptural balance to proper interpretation that fully involves the activities of the Spirit of truth within the human heart as well as the role of those raised by God to teach His word. The christian on his part cannot be docile. There is a prayer he offers that secures that assistance of the Spirit within him as he exposes his heart to the teaching of the word of God.
Ground rules for Interpreting Scriptures:
The Scriptures must interprete themselves. If you have any difficulty with a scripture there are other scriptures that will shed further light on that particular thought making God’s intent plain. If you also have arrived at a concept you believe to be biblical and you find scriptures that make you uncomfortable with your present position, pause, pray and study further until by the word you arrive at a place where your understanding can be found and explained in every reference to that subject in the Bible. Do not do violence to God’s word in your heart where you silence the inward witness, that small still voice saying “there are some scriptures that don’t sit right with this position you have taken”. In ministry, don’t fight for your pride but pursue the Truth.
2 Peter 1:20
Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
I have heard people say things about certain letters written in the New Testament down playing the essence of  those letters and this simply because a “favorite” minister of theirs said something about that particular book which the thought expressed wasn’t strictly based on scripture but was an opinion he passed in order to promote a doctrine he was emphasizing. The Scriptures tell us the role every scripture in the word plays, opinions of great men of God cannot be equated to the written Word.  If you want to pass an opinion on spiritual matters, that’s fine but at least like Paul pause and say the next statement is my opinion and not a commandment from God.

Now concerning virgins I have no commandment of the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.
What is the purpose of the Scriptures
1 Timothy 3:16
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
The origin of all scripture is the same, divinely breathed into existence but they exist with different purposes. For doctrines, systems of truth to live by. Reproof and correction i.e when you read, you may get corrected in your belief system, thoughts or attitudes. You also receive instructions on what to do in particular situations of your life i.e a lamp to your feet and light to your path.
Before setting forth rules to be employed in the interpretation of Scripture, its important to highlight some things that must be found in the student of the scripture himself. Good instruments are indispensable in the hands of every navigator but even the best of instruments are of little purpose in the hands of one who is unqualified to use them. Methods for Bible study are of great importance but the spirit in which you study is all important. It is with meekness you receive the engrafted word. The attitude of your heart determines how the Spirit will move within you. If you study with a know it all mindset then no matter the instruments given to you, the knowledge received will increase pride and not the fruits of righteousness in your life.

And he answered him, pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.' 1Samuel 30:8b.
The very vital element we must not forget after having faced with much battle is that, we must not surrender. In battle time, you must not surrender, surrendering means the devil has won and you must know that the fool has been defeated on the cross since 2000 years ago.
You must pursue your enemies. After David got a response from God, he pursued. Brethren, in pursuing, we go after the enemy according to the strategy God gives us. God answered king David telling him that he will pursue the enemy and recover all that were taking from him. The enemy burnt their homes, took their families, animals and valuables. David pursued confidently knowing that the battle has been won.
Brethren, have you inquired of the Lord and how to go about that battle in your life. Just as David did, we have to go confidently with the word we have received from the Lord knowing that He is faithful and He will keep the word which He has given us. Hebrews 10:23. He is not a man that he will lie to us. Num.23:19.
I pray for you, you shall experience victory on every side.

PRAYER
O Lord, as I begin to pray, give me answer concerning this battle I am going through.

YOUR STRUGGLE IS NOT A WASTE!

( ROMANS 8:31-39).
Years ago, in a wooden beach area, my little daughter screamed in admiration at the incredible beauty of a nosy butterfly and today’s devotional was born within my soul. I quickly remembered that before butterfly can emerge out of its chrysalis ( a shell enclosing that pupa of a butterfly), it has to go through a lot of struggle. Yes, struggle! Through the struggling process, as it attempts to escape from the shell, acids are being removed from its wings. That means, the struggle of the butterfly serves a great purpose in her destiny. If someone was to come along and break the chrysalis for it, the butterfly would die from those acids. In essence, the struggle is necessary for the butterfly to survive. Then in the stillness, when the struggle is over, the butterfly can come out and share its beauty with the world.
All that my daughter and I saw was the beauty and not the struggle of the butterfly! We as humans are not any different. There are times when we need to struggle. It is only at this time when we are exhausted and still, that we begin to hear the Universe whisper to us. No wonder Thomas Paine wrote: “The harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly; it is dearness only that gives everything its value. I love the man that can smile in trouble, and gather strength from distress.” No matter how your life, family and ministry has been, always remember that every problem is an opportunity to discover an invaluable lesson of life.
Romans 8:35 asked: “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Of course the answer is NO! A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work. It does not matter how slowly you are going in life; as long as you do not stop, you will get there. Note that the words: “STRUGGLE “ and “STRIFE” always come before the word “SUCCESS” even in the dictionary.
Stop crying! Stop that depression! Stop blaming others! Stop self-pity/self-blame! Be courageous! At last like that butterfly, your beauty shall be celebrated in the land of the living in this year of EVIDENCE. Hold on! Hold out! Your STRUGGLE is not a waste! This is your year!

Be Concerned About The World

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you… (1 Samuel 12:23).
Atrue soul winner isn’t only concerned about the souls in his immediate locality, but also about the evangelization of the world. You must,with renewed vigour, become concerned about the salvation that Jesus Christ has brought to the whole world. No matter how concerned you are about your locality, you must at the same time think about the regions beyond. Jesus puts it clearly in Mark 16:15:“…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
As we anticipate the Master’s soon return, you may never as one individual, be able to go into the entire world and preach to every soul on the face of the earth. However, there’re ways you can still be effective in global evangelism. One of such ways is through intercession; praying for the salvation of lost souls. Every Christian that’s truly been touched by the Holy Spirit burns with passion for intercession. Therefore, be diligent in praying for lost souls and other believers in different parts of the world who may be experiencing challenges and difficulties.
The Bible tells us to pray for those who are in trouble. Many Christians around the world are being persecuted for their faith. Some are being martyred for believing in Jesus Christ. Some are suffering terribly in hospitals, writhing in severe pains, due to sickness and disease. They may not even have enough faith to think about being healed, but your intercessory prayer can help them.
Some Christians are in prison for offenses they didn’t commit. Then you have the orphans, the poor, and those who have been neglected by society. Don’t just wish that things will get better for them; rather, from time to time, intercede fervidly on their behalf! When you’re that concerned about those that are in need, God programmes your life for abundance, success and prosperity; He grants you increased grace to do more for others.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making the souls of men all over the world beautiful to me. I thank you for stirring in me the spirit of intercession, and today, I make power available for salvation, healing, restoration and protection for my brothers and sisters in Christ, all over the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

while Addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt, Rivers state on Wednesday 22 march 2017, President of NDBMF, HIS  Eminence, Dr. Julius Ediwe, said Stephanie is being sponsored by some people who are angry at Suleman for speaking in defense of Christians.
Stephanie Otobo, the lady who has publicly accused founder of Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, of having extramarital affair with her and aborting their baby, has been warned by the association of Nigerian Bishops known as the Niger Delta Bishops and Ministers Forum (NDBMF) to retrace her steps or face the wrath of God.
Ediwie warned that Stephanie and her sponsors should desist from their acts of falsehood or face the wrath of God
"We want to let Nigerians and the whole world know that this is propaganda. It is false. As spiritual fathers in the land, we will not be quiet and watch a young girl with whoever that is sponsoring her, spoil the name of a man of God. A man of God who has single-handedly stood in defense of Christians in this country, Africa and the whole world. We cannot sit down and watch a young girl like that speak blasphemy of such a man of God. We are here to say it is an error. As Niger Delta Bishops and Ministers Forum, we condemn the actions of the young girl and whoever that is sponsoring her. We want to advise them to leave Apostle Suleiman alone. ALlow him to do what God has sent him to do in Nigeria, in Africa and the whole world. God called him to preach the gospel and we are enjoying the gospel and we love what he is doing. I want to let Nigerians know that Apostle Suleiman has made us, clergymen proud in this country. Such a man is not somebody who that little girl should come up to rubbish. So, we are saying, please, if you love your life, run away from this evil paid for against the man of God. If not, the wrath of God is coming upon you!careful, because they are incurring the wrath of God. Remember, the Bible said, touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. God has not permitted anybody to speak such evil of any man of God. We are warning whoever is involved in this to be careful with men of God.”he said
We know that such allegation can come at any time to any man of God who preached the truth and has integrity. We want to urge Nigerians not to buy into what that young girl is saying. Anybody that is following the girl should stop because she's dead already. You can't fight against the Lord's anointed or stop the gospel in Nigeria NO WAY.

And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." 1 Samuel 30:7-8.
King David was faced with a situation that was beyond all his natural hope in fighting his enemy. The only opportunity of overcoming his enemy was dependent upon God. The Amalekites had invaded the south and Ziklag and burnt it with fire. Everything was taken away. In his gaining victory over his enemy, our text demonstrated how we ourselves are to approach our own battles against our enemies.
Firstly, what David did is that he pushed or pressed on. Just like David, set himself apart and tapped into spiritual realm, do the Same to generate strength. Has your strength all gone because of battles on every side? Just as David did, pursue and ask God the strategy to take in order to overcome. David asked God in 1Samuel 30:8, whether he should pursue after his enemies and the Lord said yes. Most at times the enemies try to weary us in well doing at times it seems as if there is no strength in us. However, if we push unto hearing from God, we shall overcome, and recover all. I pray that, in that battle, you we press and recover all.

PRAYER
Father, as I pray, show me the right approach to overcome this battle.

Hear Henry David Thoreau: "If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with success unexpected in common hours." Recall from William Feather: "Success seems to be largely a matter of hanging on after others have let go." God wants you to resist depression/ quitting! Resist the desire to die! Even when there are questions that have no answers. Oh! What a timely seed from Georges Bemanos: "Hope is a risk that must be run. Keep hoping and never quit now!" Claude M. Bristol wrote: "It's the constant and determined effort that breaks down all resistance and sweeps away all obstacles.
No matter how last year 2016 has been, be determined to make it in 2017 and refuse to waver! Draw from Ralph Marston: "Look for the bright spot and move yourself towards it. There is always a bright spot. :Learn to value it, and you will learn to succeed." Yes, refuse to focus on the negative / delayed. For every one demon, there are two angels. There are some good things happening in your life. See them! It's not where you start, it is where you finish that matters. God sees your struggles and is planning a way out.
Keep talking to Him and listen to His direction! Tell those who left you, "if you don't have my back when I am struggling for success, you can't be by my side when I eventually succeed." Will Smith kept it this way: "If you are absent during my struggle, don't expect to be present during my success." Hear this bumper good news: YOUR BEST DAYS ARE STILL AHEAD! Hold on and hold out! This is your year!
