PROPHETIC CHANNEL PROPHECY TO GHANA.

I personally love clichés. They carry old age wisdom; they were coined by the vanguards of philosophy and thought.
One cliché says ‘three times is a charm’. Perhaps no more does this ring true than for Mr Akufo-Addo, a man who fell short of the golden ticket twice, but is at this day the President Elect of the beautiful Republic of Ghana.
In fact, in 2012, the incumbent President only defeated Mr Akufo-Addo by just 300,000 votes. In the aftermath of that loss, yet another cliché was used to describe the latter. ‘So near, yet so far away’, they said.
Today the cliché has been reversed, ‘against all odds’ they now say.
I would like to personally congratulate Mr Akufo-Addo for defeating the odds, for never giving up or giving in, for recognizing that if at first you don’t succeed, try again, and again.
His victory, will be referenced till time immemorial. Young boys and girls growing up in the Savana will be inspired and motivated. Knowing fully well, that the precedence of the President dictates that if you never give up, you will get to the top.
His story, is one that should inspire us all as Africans, and above all as humanity and more importantly, his fear for God.
Our continent has travelled a difficult path. From the days of slavery, to imperialism and colonization.
Even since the advent of freedom, we have struggled with ourselves, amongst ourselves. But days like these, when men of the stature, and character of Mr Akufo-Addo rise through the ranks to the promised land, we are once again reminded that an Africa, for Africans, built upon foundations of wisdom, virtue, and values is possible.
I have no doubt in the capacities, and capabilities of the President elect. His record and reputation as an astute Human Rights Lawyer precede him. His promises, delivered throughout his campaign were sober, informed and dignified. I shall continue to pray for him, that his dreams, and those of his whole country are realized.
As the nation of Ghana enters this period of transition, I would like to urge the incumbent and the elect, to cherish this gift of demonstrative democracy bestowed upon Ghana, her people, and the two leaders.
It was Ghana that became the first country of the South Sahara to be liberated. It is Ghana, the land of Kwame Nkurumah, that is cradle of Pan-Africanism. It was Ghana that demonstrated that freedom was possible back in 1957. Other countries followed suit. It is again Ghana that must demonstrate that peaceful transition is possible in Africa, so that others may follow suit too.
Freedom is a biblical virtue. Respect is divine. I urge Ghanaians to remember the old age African cliché of Ubuntu. That says, ‘I am because you are, and you are because I am’. The dream of a successful Ghana should glue us together.
