27TH FEBRUARY 2017 RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL GUIDE WITH GOD'S GENERALS APOSTLE PROF AND REV DR LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN.

TODAY'S READING
[Matthew 22:34-40]

TOPIC:
THE HEART OF THE MATTER

TEXT:
If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do? [Psalm 11:3]

Behind every matter there is a matter. The reason people don't get solutions to their issues is they focus on the shadows of life. They focus on the effects without paying attention to the cause. For example, when you see the wall of a house cracking, you will be forced to want to deploy an immediate "fix-it" approach. Without delay, you will get cement and mended. By so doing, you didn't stop the problem, you only covered it. Expectedly, the crack will be forced to begin somewhere else because the root of the problem has not be addressed.

This is exactly what some people are going through. You have to get to that consciousness that: every effect has a cause. If you must succeed in life, you must learn to ignore the effect and focus on the cause. When you focus on the effect, you are likely never to advance in life. Just like the root cause of poverty is stinginess. When you are a giver, wealth naturally gravitates towards you. But when you are stingy and do not address it but focus on other things, you may likely never see any change.

PRAYER
My Father, My Father, show me the root cause of my challenge, and empower me to handle it in Jesus name.
