Scriptural Read: psalm 5
TOPIC:
SWIMMING IN ABUNDANCE
TEXT: "And when David came to Ziklag, he sent of the spoil unto the elders of Judah, even to his friends, saying, Behold a present for you of the spoil of the enemies of the LORD;"1 Samuel 30:26.
When David recovered all that was taken away from him even more of it, he did not eat alone. Brother, have you received sevenfold and now you are eating it to yourself?
A great mind said, to be rich is is to reach people. Your bank account is the lives you have invested into and not how much money you have in the bank. Abundance is not for your keeping. David gave some of the plunder to those who stayed back at the camp because of their weakness and inability to go with him in pursuing the enemy.
Child of God, when God bring you into the position of plundering the enemy's camp, bless some of those friends whom you were fasting and praying together. Bless those who encouraged you to go ahead even though they couldn't go. Bless the people who agreed with you in prayer and those who used their resources to sustain you in battle time.
Even spiritually, one might be strong and another weak: The strong should lend his or her strength to the weak in pursuing the enemy instead of going about telling others how spiritually weak the other is.
PRAYER
My father, my father help me to be a blessing to others in time of abundance.
