WELCOME TO 20TH MARCH 2017 EDITION OF RHEMA FOR LIVING OFM CHRISTIAN DAILY DEVOTIONALS WITH GOD'S GENERALS APOSTLE PROF AND REV DR LIZZY JOHNSON SULEMAN

Scriptural Reading: Neh.9:26-38

TOPIC:
NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWER (2)

TEXT:
I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. Ecclesiastes 9:11
If there is anything, anyone, credential or quality that you feel makes you stand out above others and as such you do not give glory to God, you are the most miserable. There are many out there with more better credentials and qualities but they are not seen, heard or known. So to hold the microphone and do whatever activity in the house of God or in the field out there is a privilege.
That time and chance is of the LORD, give the glory to Him. Many in the congregation or in your organisation out there can do it better; it is only your time, so don't abuse it by feeling arrogant about it. At a time in Israel, it was all about Saul, until a David showed up. God always has a backup. Every divine assignment has a successor, the predecessor works towards that to the glory of the LORD which of course leads to his own lifting. But the ignorant covers up their inferiority complex with their arrogance feeling threatened when persons they feel are good are given opportunity in what they do to also showcase their divine endowment. Saul would have been one of the most celebrated kings if he had allowed David to freely display his uniqueness in His kingship era. It would been to his credit as the overall person in charge. But he missed it by trying to silent David forgetting that TIME AND CHANCE HAPPENETH TO THEM ALL.

PRAYER
My father help me not to abuse the privilege you have given me.
